Local markets every Saturday & Wednesday throughout the year
Arles has two market days that run throughout the year. Both markets are centrally located and offer a wide range of local produce.
With 450 stalls on Saturday and 300 on Wednesday, you can find everything you could wish for: fruit and vegetables, cheeses, flowers, spices, meat and fish, honey, olive oil, saucisson d'Arles, Camargue rice, cockles and even clothes and crafts...
As with all French markets, it is important to arrive early as they are generally over by midday – this one is no different! It is also useful to arrive early in order to find a good parking space. As this is a large market you really do need the full morning to enjoy it properly. You can sample and tray the food and produce on offer on your way round so bring your appetite and your taste buds.
On Saturday the market is found at Boulevard des Lices and Boulevard Georges-Clemenceau, whilst the Wednesday market is located at the Boulevard Emile Combes. The stalls are open from 08:00 to 12:45.

This market takes place in Arles each week. One market is on a Wednesday morning and the slightly bigger market is on a Saturday morning.

Along with the market are many little shops and restaurants to enjoy. You can also easily walk to the Arles Amphitheatre (Coliseum) and other Roman ruins.
