A new exhibition of photographs of Marilyn Monroe opens this weekend in Aix en Provence.

60 photographic prints will be on display, mostly from private collections, telling the story of the special relationship that Marilyn had with photographers throughout her life.

Marilyn died at the age of 35 and some of the contact sheets taken by Bert Stern just 1 month before her death can be seen at the end of the exhibition.

The Caumont Centre d'Art will host the exhibition from this Saturday, 22nd October until 1st May 2016 so there will be plenty of opportunities for you to go and see it. The centre is open from 10:00 to 18:00 with last entry permitted half an hour before closing.

Guided tours will be available every day from 22nd October to 2nd November 2016 at 16:00 and take 1h 15mins. You'll need to reserve a place ahead of your visit with the Caumont Centre d'Art. Prices for entry are €13 for adults with a booklet on the exhibition available to buy for €1.
