The SNCF website have issued a warning to travellers that there will be a national strike from Wednesday 30th March at 19:00 until Friday 1st April 08:00.
Some trains will be removed from service and alterations will be made on other lines to compensate. You can check details on their website by selecting the appropriate line and downloading the temporary schedule and timetable. SNCF does not expect this action to have the same impact on rail schedules as the strike on 9th March, though some disturbance is expected.
This action is part of a 'day of action' against planned labour reforms with public services, public transport, airports and even TV services all taking part. Along with schools and hospitals across the country, Air France workers are also expected to join the protests. The impact on flights is expected to be ‘limited’, however you should check with your airline before travel this week. Other airlines and air traffic control may also be affected, although the extent of this 'walk-out' has not yet been confirmed.
