4. Aix Marseille Golf Course
The Golf Club Aix-Marseille is only 5 minutes away from Aix-en-Provence TGV railway station. As the course is faily level it is possible to play without the use of a buggy.
This is an 18-hole course situated in the Domaine de Riquetti. It offers practice facilities and putting green. Also, there is available a golf school for 5 to 15-year-olds.
Open 08:00-19:30.
5. Gulli Parc Indoor Play Area
The area is split into two areas - one for the 1-5 years age group, and the other for 6-12 year olds.
With slides, ball pools, theme areas, trampolines for the younger children, and laser games, mazes, karting and sports activities for the bigger ones, it is a great option for a bad weather day.
It is open throughout the year, closed on Monday and Tuesdays during school term times. 10am to 7pm. Socks obligatory! Located just to the south of Aix.
6. Aix Golf Course
Open to all, this small golf club offers a clubhouse, restaurant, driving range, putting green and 6 holes. It is home to an academy that offers lessons at all levels.
The 6 holes very in length from 60 to 230 metres long and make an ideal course for beginners or those looking to advance their skills.
7. Gardanne Swimming Pool, nr Aix-en-Provence
Just to the south of Aix is the town of Gardanne. They open an outdoor swimming pool in the summer, with a 50m pool, baby pool, slides, playgrounds and a relaxation area.
8. Country Club Aixois Tennis, Aix en Provence
Plenty of clay tennis courts are available at the Aix Country Club. It provide lessons and coaching, and there is a pro shop too. Other facilities include a pool and a gym.
9. Indian Forest
An exciting path through the forest...but not on the ground! This tree top adventure will have you swinging from the branches and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature.
They are also the first park in the area to feature a 'Quick Jump' - a device that lets you free fall for 8 metres before breaking...a bit like a mini bungee jump! It is also possible to tackle the course at night...
There is a picnic area, public toilet facilities and drinking water available on site.
Open Wednesdays and weekends in June, then every day during the school holidays: 10:00-19:00.
10. Club Hippique d'Aix Marseille horse riding
The Club, established in 1932 has a long and interesting history. Situated on the banks of the river l'Arc over 30 acres, 5 minutes away from the city centre the Club Hippique Aix Marseille offers a full range of facilities.
Learn to ride at the riding school, take a riding course or just visit the club and see the beautiful horses close up. With 30 ponies and 50 horses it caters for all possible riding activities, and for all ages.
Established in 1932 the club has a long history and has also seen many celebrities and sporting personalities come through their doors in order to learn or improve their horse riding. Including people such as Sir Winston Churchill, Frank Sinatra, Julien Clerc, Jean Pierre Papin and Joseph Mamoud.
11. Sainte-Victoire Aquatic Centre, Venelles
This leisure centre has two indoor pools, a 50 metre outdoor heated swimming pool, with terraces and beaches, and water sports.There is also a weights room and dance studio.
A water playground is suitable for smaller children, whilst the pools inside can be used for swimming competitions.
Come for a swim, or join in one of their aquabike classes.

12. Cabre d'Or Golf Course, Cabries
The Golf de la Cabre d'Or is only 20 minutes away from Aix-en-Provence et Marseille. This is a fairly new golf course which opened only in 2008.
An 18-hole course par 72 of 6,514 metres on a 180-acre area overlooking the unique countryside of Sainte Victoire, the Mont Ventoux, and the Pilon du Roy. The course is already renowned for its design, and for the quality of maintenance.
13. Set Club, Aix en Provence
Set CLub is a sports complex which has 13 tennis courts, eight of which are clay courts and five are the faster green set. Lessons and competitions are all part of the club. Non-members are welcome.

15. Le Train Touristique d'Aix-en-Provence
Just an hour long ride through the city of Aix, learning about its history and a good introduction to this beautiful area.
A unique opportunity to discover the treasures of the city and its rich heritage. Onboard you will be guided by audio commentary scripted & translated into eight languages and will have a panoramic view roof.
Two tours are offered to you: the circuit historic city centre and the Paul Cézanne.
16. Mont Sainte Victoire
This pyramidal peak features in over 60 of Paul Cezannes paintings. The light and the colours are a dream for artists, and non-artists can also enjoy the scenery via the lattice of walking trails that cross the mountain slopes.
Picasso is burried on the northern slopes of the mountain, in the grounds of Chateau de Vauvenargues. This privately owned castle is closed to the public.
This area is very popular with walkers, hikers, bikers and climbers. You will encounter many small paths and caves on your explorations of the area. Plus several small chapels hidden in the rocky hillside.
