Tourtour - The Favourite French Village?

This June, the town of Tourtour in the Haute Var will be amongst those competing to win the title of 'Favourite French Village' in the TV show of the same name. 

Voting is already open for members of the public across France to vote for one of 22 villages to take the take the title. The website for the TV station France 2 has details and images for all of the villages and people can vote directly online or by SMS or telephone. Details can be found on the website.

The competition closes on May 19th at 10am, so if you want to vote then you have just 6 days left to do so!

The village of Tourtour is a very typical and picturesque Provencal town. There are still remnants of the original 12th century village, plus a 17th century caastle to explore. the streets are narrow and filled with cafes, restaurants and art galleries. Already known as one of the 'most beautiful villages in France' it is no surprise that it has been selected to participate in the 2015 edition of The Favourite French Village, to be aired on France 2 in June.
