The asparagus season is notoriously short, so when it comes into season, the town of Mormoiron is quick off the mark to offer a festival to celebrate this elegant vegetable.
The fair promotes locally produced asparagus - no doubt freshly picked - with a market in the town. Although the prime focus is on the asparagus, other early seson fruits and vegetables are also on sale. A parade of classic tractors, dancing and games for the children form part of this fun little fair.
