Medieval show at the Château des Baux-de-Provence every weekend
The Château des Baux-de-Provence puts on a medieval show every weekend and bank holiday, where you can fire a catapult, try your hand at crossbow shooting or assist in a medieval duel.
Catapult Demonstartion (11.00 am, 3.30 pm and 5.30 pm)>
There is a demonstration of their huge fire-power every day at the castle. See just how efficient these thee catapults are - the trebuchets, couillard & the bricole, thanks to perfect replicas of the siege machines used in the Middle Ages.
Crossbow Demonstration (10.00 am to 6.00 pm)
Learn how to handle the famous weapons used in the Middle Ages for hunting and warfare. Demonstrate your skill with ballista and crossbow.
Medieval Jousting (2.30 pm and 4.30 pm)
Take a step back into medieval history of Provence. Watch demonstrations of duelling with the Lord of Les Baux who fought to keep his ancestral lands.
Admission Fees 2014
- Adults: 10€
- Concessions (students, children aged 7 to 17 years, jobseekers): 8€
- Children under 7 years: free
- Families (2 adults and 2 paying children): no charge for the 2nd child
