Hot air balloon festival at the Pont du Gard, Nimes

Come and watch this unique spectacle, as 25 hot air balloons, in the colours of the Mediterranean fly over the Pont du Gard.

Huge coloured bubbles will rise from the deep gorges of the Gardon and will fly over the ancient Pont du Gard to carry away the messages of friendship for Tunisia and the peoples of the Mediterranean basin.

The programme:

- at 11 am: guided tour of the Pont du Gard by Claude Larnac (reservation required at association.academie.pontdugard@orange.fr )

- from 1 pm: Costume parade, wooden games, brass band with the Horde and Tunisian musicians accompanying the crews

- at 3 pm: letting go of little balloons with children's messages and 25 Balloon flights from the right bank of the Pont du Gard, accompanied by "crystal" music improvised by the Hope * ensemble and the voice of Alia Sellami, Tunisian singer.

- at 6 pm, Concert «Anamorphoses»: Original creation by the Hope ensemble from sounds picked up in the Medina of Tunis and in the Pays de l'Uzège (in the Pitot right bank auditorium)
