Close to Isle sur la Sorgue in the Vaucluse region of Provence lies the 18-hole golf course of Provence Country Club.

The course was designed by Jean Garaialde in 1989 and incorporates the natural landscape of the beautiful Luberon countryside.

It is 6099m from the white tees and is judged to be a 'fair but challenging' course. There is a pro-shop, a driving range, putting green and lessons are available.

Other facilities at the country club include a swimming pool, tennis court, gym, restaurant and bar. Accommodation is self-catered apartments overlooking the golf course.

The neighbourhood

The town of L'Isle sur la Sorgue is just a 10 minute drive away and is known locally as "Little Venice" for its picturesque canals, streams, waterwheels and alleyways. There are plenty of restaurants, art galleries, antique shops and boutiques to explore.

The wild and unspoilt nature of the surrounding countryside makes it a haven for those wanting to hike, horse ride, kayak, mountain bike or go fishing.

Directions

The nearest big town to the country club is Avignon, 30km west and approximately 40 minutes drive away. If coming from the coast you can follow the A7 from Marseilles, a journey of 90km and just over an hour.
