Saint Veran / Sainte Marie Church, Fontaine de Vaucluse

A very austere church in the Romanesque style

featured in Sights & sites

This old Romanesque style church dates back to the 10th century and was modified in the 12th century. Its austere exterior matches very plain interior decor, very typical to the Romanesque style of the old ages.

There's not a lot to see once inside save for the architecture and tell tale signs of how it has been built and remodelled over the years.

The church was built over the tomb of Saint Veran, hence part of its name.

Free entry.
