Georges Mazoyer was an accomplished diver and a talented artists. In 1975 he was inspired to create a museum full of his most treasured souvenirs from the sea and as a gallery for his own art.
Today, his daughter and partner maintain this museum in his honour offering a friendly explanation and guided tour.
On the first floor there are shellfish, marine artefacts from Martinique, the Reunion Island and the Indian Ocean collected by Georges Mazoyer during his travels. The second floor was originally the artists' atelier and is now home to a number of his larger works of art.
Museum open everyday throughout the summer, limited hours during the winter.
