Theatre du Jeu de Paume
Small Italian style theatre situated on the site of an original Royal Tennis Court
The building of this theatre began in 1756 and was completed for the opening in 1787, and saw a complete renovation in more recent years in 1998.
Closed for two seasons the newly refurbished theatre was inaugurated in May 2000, with its lavish interiors and historic beginnings this is a popular theatre in the Provence region. Teamed with the Theatre Gymnasium in Marseille, they are both under the watchful eye of artistic Director Dominique Bluzet.
