Olive Groves Offering Free Tasting & an Authentic Experience
Almost 90 acres of prime location olive groves on the slopes of Vallée des Baux. A family run business, Catherine and Jean-Benoît Hugues are at the helm.
After living in the Arizona plains for 15 years this coupled returned to France and their roots in Provence to dedicate themselves to olive oil production. Today, Domaine Castelas produces olives on 110 acres of Appellation d’Origine Protégée groves in the Vallée des Baux de Provence, and in 160 acres on the Plaine de Crau.
The property accepts visitors, with a visit of the mill and tasting available (Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00). They are open from Monday to Friday 8:30-18:30 and on weekends and holidays, 10:00-13:00 and 14:30-18:30. For visiting from April through to September, please contact them first.
