It was four years ago that the shared passion of two men, Renaud Capuçon, a talented violinist, and Dominique Bluzet, Director of the Grand Théâtre de Provence, led to the conception of a major new event in the musical calendar.

Aix-en-Provence, ‘the city of a thousand fountains’, offers an exceptional venue for this Festival de Paques, that celebrates some of the worlds best classical musicians. The 2016 event will see the violin as the guest of honour, with the participation of 14 world-renowned virtuosos, including Daniel Hope, Pinchas Zukerman, Maxim Vengerov, Isabelle Faust, and superstar Anne-Sophie Mutter.

With a fantastic line-up of around 30 concerts, three days devoted to Bach and Brahms, seven symphonic orchestras and the participation of over 700 artists, you can rest assured that this years Festival will be one of their best yet. Tickets are available on their website, see event information here.
