The romantic setting of the Var region in Provence, a traditional Chateau in the French countryside, an award winning vineyard and a beautiful old chapel...this sounds like something from a great novel!

Last Saturday, and after 9 years together, the celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally took their marriage vows in a small chapel on their Provencal Estate. After settling at Chateau Miraval, which is classified as an historical building, in the village of Correns in 2008, the couple have spent much time there both renovating the large 35 room main property as well as cultivating and developing the vineyard and the Miraval Wine label. Coupled with the Perrin Family they launched the "Miraval Côtes de Provence" wine in 2013.

Saturday's ceremony took place two years after the couple announced their engagement in 2012, and was a private matter with only a small number of family and friends present. Their six children were on hand to assist with the celebrations. A spokesman for the couple says that Angelina was taken to the altar by her two eldest sons, Maddox and Pax. Zahara and Vivienne threw flower petals while Shiloh and Knox presented the rings.

Back in May, Jolie spoke about their plans and how it would happen when the time was right. "We're just waiting for it to be the right time with the kids, with work, when it feels right," she said. "We talk about it occasionally, and the kids talk about it with us."

So it seems that the time is now!

Congratulations to the happy couple and if you are in Provence then be on the look out for any other celebrities that may have been there for this wonderful occasion!
