Avignon's biggest summer spectacle returns in August
Les Luminessences 2017 dates announced
If you've ever stood and gazed at the Palais des Papes by day, impressed by its high walls and decorated facades, then a visit to one of the nighttime shows 'Les Luminessences' should be on your bucket list this summer.
Imagine the Palais des Papes coming to life in an audio-visual display, reminiscent of something akin to a Happy Potter film, with vibrant video displays dancing across the walls, set to an impressive audio soundtrack.
The show depicts some of the incredible history of these buildings, from medieval times to the modern day and offers visitors a unique view of the palace buildings as well as being great entertainment.
Dates for this years shows have just been announced as 12th August to 30th September 2017. Show take place twice per night and there's a show in English every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 22:15. If you're coming to Avignon this summer, it's something not to be missed.
