For husband and wife team Nancy and André Bourguignon, the hotel was always about blending the three key elements of comfort, service and great food, then wrapping them in a simple, contemporary package. Now, with a little help from André’s friend, the renowned interior designer Christophe Pillet, that dream has become a reality. From the outside Hotel B Design & Spa is every bit the typical country residence. Shrouded by sun-dappled olive trees and overlooking fields of heady purple lavender, it is as much a part of the landscape as the limestone karsts it sits in front of.

Glass panes scatter the light that streams in through black slatted doors, illuminating open spaces, while understated yet ultra-comfortable sofas and armchairs provide somewhere to enjoy the simplicity of the design. Everything you see, from the solid wooden tables to the black metal balustrades, has been built with quality in mind.

The hotel is a tranquill luxury retreat, with contemporary bedrooms, an airy spa open to guests and non-guests alike, pool and gardens. For food and wine lovers, it is a perfect choice, with its renowned restaurant serving inventive & elegant dishes. Cooking classes are available on request.

With 7 individually designed rooms. This small but distinctive hotel will not disappoint. Set in the centre of the old village, the hotel and its seven spacious suites are a mid-century design odyssey. The noble Almeran family's former home, original features have been charmingly mixed in the interiors with furniture by ClassiCon designers Eileen Gray and Konstantin Grcic.

The ancient building is also home to an innovative nouveau Mediterranean restaurant and private dining space led by Benoit Fauci, who ran the kitchen of the Michelin-star restaurant Les Chênes Verts, in Tourtour. With pristine natural surroundings and an address close to to 34 wine appellations and important historical sites, such as the ancient royal city Les-Baux-de-Provence and Avignon, Hôtel d’Almeran adds a new layer of luxury to the heart of an already refined and stunning Saint-Rémy.

The contemporary stylish rooms feature wifi, flat screen televisions and en-suite bathrooms. There are also a number of suites available, including the Robinson Crusoe 'tree house' suite which adds to the hotel's sense of fun. Each of the fifteen rooms has their own character and is in perfect harmony with the surrounding Provencale countryside, bearing the names of flowers of herbs from the region.

Furniture in aged mango wood fill them with warm elegance and some rooms have a bathroom made from local Alpilles stone, a private terrace over the roofs and a private solarium.

The restaurant offers set meals at lunch and dinner and features the local Provencal cuisine.
