The truffle has a long history here in Aups; for many years now they have been grown, harvested, retailed, shared and eaten.

It is set in the heart of the village of Aups in the Old Hospice Saint-Jacques (twelfth century), and aims to present truffles and truffle growing in all their varied dimensions. It comprises 4 distinct spaces:

  • A shop area, selling products
  • The taste of truffles, discovery of the truffle by the 5 senses
  • An information space with activities around the truffle and Truffo-tourist information
  • A museum area of presentation of truffles and truffle growing

Here you can learn abut the history, biology, geology, sociology, planting, growing, harvesting, distribution and marketing of truffles in this region.
