La Maison sur la Sorgue is a small boutique hotel in the heart of the village of the same name, renowned for it's antiques stores and markets. The lovely and generously sized rooms are decorated in a chic Provencal tone and feature antique furniture and modern touches. Wifi is available in the public areas and breakfast is served on the terrace by the pool. There isn't a restaurant, but there are plenty to choose from in the pretty town.

2. Crillon le Brave Luxury Hotel, Crillon le Brave

Set in a beautiful location overlooking the Rhone valley and Mont Ventoux, this 33 bedroom hotel can be found around 25 miles North East of Avignon. There are 15 double bedrooms and 18 suites available, ranging from 25m² for the smallest standard room up to 85m² for the largest suite.

Each of the bedrooms and suites are equipped with big comfortable beds, luxurious bathrooms, CD & DVD library at reception, DVD and flat screen satellite TV, complimentary high-speed WiFi, mini-bar, safe and individually-controlled air conditioning.

The hotel also features a small house, La Sousto, which includes a ground floor lounge and two small bedrooms above. It is ideal for families travelling with two children who want some more personal space.

The hotel is known for its food and fine dining experience, offering two different restaurants (see the restaurant section for details).

The grounds of the hotel include an authentic boules court so you can truly participate in some French culture whilst on holiday. Guests also have access to a tennis court nearby and bicycles for delightful jaunts through the Provencal countryside. Guests can also indulge in massage and treatments in the hotel's spa.

3. Château de Tourreau, Sarrians

Château de Tourreau stands out as one of, if not the most, beautiful châteaux in Provence.

The château's estate lies in 17 acres of woodland, formal gardens, streams and orchards. Originally built in 1612, the château was remodelled in 1760 and in the grounds there is a swimming pool, summer kitchen, tennis court, basketball court and pools filled with Koi carp.

Today it is a luxury hotel, with all the amenities you would expect. It's also available to hire as a wedding venue or for parties.

Comprising of three reception rooms, a formal dining room, family kitchen, breakfast room, internal courtyard with fountains and outdoor dining, one guest suite on the ground floor, two guest suites on first floor accessed via their own staircase and six ensuite guest bedrooms on the 2nd floor.

4. Chateau de Mazan Hotel, Mazan

The Chateau was built in 1720, during France’s early Regency Period and was home to the notorious Marquis de Sade.

Since this illustrious beginning, the chateau was turned into an elegant 'Hotel de Charme' in 2001.

With 30 rooms all uniquely styled and decorated in a range of pretty Provencal fabrics. You can choose from very well priced standard double rooms up to large suites with their own private terrace.

Facilities include an outdoor pool, gardens, gourmet restaurant and an indoor car park.
