La Maison sur la Sorgue is a small boutique hotel in the heart of the village of the same name, renowned for it's antiques stores and markets. The lovely and generously sized rooms are decorated in a chic Provencal tone and feature antique furniture and modern touches. Wifi is available in the public areas and breakfast is served on the terrace by the pool. There isn't a restaurant, but there are plenty to choose from in the pretty town.

2. Les Bories Spa Hotel, Gordes

A five star hotel with 33 bedrooms and seven suites in the heart of beautiful Luberon. Les Bories sits in eight hectares of gardens and grounds and is close to the famous village of Gordes.

The rooms are tastefully decorated Provencal style, and the larger ones have terraces with views over the Luberon. A wonderful place to kick back and relax.

The hotel comes with plenty of amenities. There is both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a sauna, a steam room, tennis courts and of course a luxury spa where you can indulge in various treatments.

The hotel offers a Michelin star restaurant serving regional specialties by the chef Pascal Ginoux.

3. Auberge de Cassagne Spa Hotel

The Auberge de Cassagne consists of a converted family home, the Château de Cassagne (1850), plus it's outbuildings which have been transformed to provide luxurious accommodation close to the historic city of Avignon.

The style of the hotel is traditional Provencal with pretty floral fabrics and French country furniture.

The rooms and suites are within a U shaped building that encloses a tranquil courtyard. The courtyard and terrace are full of flowers and greenery, providing a peaceful and natural setting.

The hotel restaurant is internationally acclaimed thanks to it's Master Chef of France, Philippe Boucher. Undoubtedly it is expensive, but the experience of such heavenly flavour combinations is worth every penny.

The extensive grounds offer a heated swimming pool, spa (with treatments, hamman, sauna & fitness room) and pretty gardens.

This is a luxury hotel and spa perched in the heart of Gordes, one of the most beautiful towns in France.

The 26 rooms and 15 suites are spacious, cozy and furnished and decorated in the typical Provencal style. They overlook the village or the valley - surely one of the best views in Provence.

Light and airy, they all feature flat screen satellite TV and WiFi, and some of the suites have a private terrace. Dinner is a smart affair where you can dine on the terrace, enjoying refined local cuisine and the wine menu is extensive, as you may expect.

The Sisley Spa provides a welcome chance to rejuvenate, with a good range of treatments, hamman, solarium and fitness room.

In the heart of Luberon close to the lovely village of Gordes is a wonderful converted farmhouse called La Bastide de Voulonne. An 18th century building, it has been lovingly restored to provide very pretty Provencal accommodation. The 13 rooms are decorated in soft colours with French country furnishings. each room features a large bed, flat screen TV and en suite facilities. Dinner is served on a wonderful canopied terrace and uses fresh organic ingredients from the market. Within the 5 acre estate is a heated swimming pool, ideal for whiling the days away. The Bastide offers very well priced rooms and family suites.
