Salette Lake, Mormoiron
Natural lake and beach surrounded by vineyards
The best thing about this lake has to be its beautiful sandy beach which makes it an ideal place to sunbathe and swim from.
Lifeguards are on duty here, and there is also a small restaurant with a terrace. Picnics are permitted at the lake and it's free to enter.
If you want to be more active, the site is home to an adventure company who offer zip-wire and treetop adventures, plus you can also fish here - permit needed.
Opening dates: 1st January to 31st December.
Directions
You can get to Mormoiron in around 20 minutes by car from Carpentras and the lake is just a few minutes to teh east of the town centre.
