La Mirande Hosts Artist for Unique Hotel Room Meet
French Conceptual Artist Sophie Calle at La Mirande
Luxury hotel La Mirande is opening up a 45 m² luxury eighteenth-century hotel room for visitors to share a moment with French conceptual artist Sophie Calle.
For five days only, and as part of the Avignon Festival, the hotel room will be home for Sophie Calle throughout the day and fans of the artist will be allowed in for half an hour at a time.
No pictures will be allowed, Sophie has suggested visitors should "lie next to me and whisper me your story".
The Sophie Calle room at the Mirande hotel is open from 10:00 - 21:00 and costs €3.
