Luberon Organic Beer Boom

Brasserie Artisanale du Luberon now shipping beers internationally

Back in 2011 a small beer manufacturer started up in a workshop in Pertuis, now two years on the Brasserie Artisanale du Luberon can barely keep up with demand and are shipping their organic beers to American clients.

The Brasserie Artisanale du Luberon (Bal) in Pertuis have come a long way since their frugal start-up and have since taken over a new locale with an industrial cold room for trouble-free fermentation.

The Bal range of organic brews are no ordinary beers, a blonde (6.5%), white (5.5%) and amber (7%) version are available each with a strong individual character.
The Bal Ambree includes both coffeee and chocolate barley for extra flavour.

In 2013 Bal produced and sold 700 hectolitres, their beers can be found in over 400 establishments.
Bal are currently selling 60% of their beers in Provence, 30% in Paris and 10% are reserved for export. But with this years sell out success, it is expected next year will see more beer produced and shipped even further afield.
