La Maison d'Aix Hotel
Small hotel built from an old house in Aix en Provence
This hotel is a beautiful renovated house located on a quiet street, and walking distance to all the hustle and bustle of Aix.
Mademoiselle Henriette Reboul, renowned as an antiques collector and a love priestess bought this private mansion dating from 1789 in 1903. She reputedly had numerous celebrity friends, lovers and mistresses, who all took abode in this magnificent residence.
Henriette Reboul’s residence took on a new lease of life under the magic wand of talented architects, Laure Juhen and Louis Mariotti and became this splendid boutique hotel in the Mazarin area: called "La Maison d’Aix".
After three years of refurbishments, Laure and Louis have risen to this incredible challenge : the elusive Henriette Reboul’s spirit and sensual touch is still in the atmosphere.
The finished work is in keeping with the original style and quite incredible. The French Artisans Guild (cabinetmakers, painters and masons) have toiled with passion and unbridled talent to transform Henriette Reboul’s residence into a luxurious, discreet and exclusive boutique hotel in the heart of the Mazarin area, a few moments away from the famous Mirabeau square.
Step back in time, away from the hustle and bustle of Aix en Provence to a Jerusalem stone clad floor, 300 year old teak parquet floors in the bedrooms and superb contemporary furniture.
Each precious moment spent at la Maison d’Aix is pure escapism. Write a Novella, daydream, indulge in peaceful and restful moments and reconnect. La Maison d’Aix is a journey on the Nile.
