New exhibition explores the history of this well-known area
Many of you may know about the delicious wines of Chateauneuf du Pape, and even more are probably aware of the Avignon Papacy and the beautiful Palais de Papes in the historical city of Avignon.
But far fewer may be aware of the long standing relationship between the two, and how the papal influence has helped to shape the reputation of Chateauneuf du Pape. This new exhibition explores the relationship between the appelation and the Avignon Papacy.
