Directions
Starting from outside of Barbentane you want to walk along a shady path that will take you through large pine forests to St Michel de Frigolet. The path can at times be confusing with lots of different directions and not many signs. From the carpark outside of Barbentane you want to take a right after and estate and follow the red, yellow or red, white, red trail markings. Keep heading in a southerly direction and take a wide track which has a small incline. After about an hour follow the parh that is mrked for the abbey. To return follow the same route back, or once you cross the main road follow the path which is parallel to the road as it is less complicated to return.
This lovely walk takes you through some beautiful forestry and along a nice wide path making it perfect as a family walk. The lovely castle in Barbentane means you can spend some time exploring the town at the end of the walk and it makes for the perfect place to stop and have a refreshment.
