Monastere de St-Paul-de-Mausole, St Remy de Provence

Directions
From the car park cross the D5, then follow the road down towards Saint Remy for 100m. After the bridge turn right in the towards Egalieres and pass the Saint Paul de Mausole Cloister. Follow the signs of the GR6 ( Red and white) by the Chemin des Carrieres. The path leads up the hill past the ancient site of Glanum and reaches a small road on the top of the hill, turn left and continue along this road that goes to the phone tower, where the trail splits keep left.
Leave the GR6 and head on the dirt road signposted GR that leads past the tower. Before the geodetic monument turn right to reach the trail before the 'protected area' sign. Follow the ridge to the left via the GR6, this follows some rocky ridges then comes down to the south side of the Alpilles. The GR6 passes between the rocks in a forest to the Col de Vallongue.
At the col descend to your left and join the path GR653D that leads through the forest. Take the left that crosses the airfield. follow the road until the right turn. From here take the path that goes straight on the same way. Follow this path for 3km back towards the car park.
