5* hotel with spa and swimming pool in a 17th century former convent
This luxurious property has been lavishly renovated to overcome its austere background, whilst still retaining its sense of history.
Redesigned by Christian Lacroix, this 17th century former Carmelite convent is now a chic hotel combining contemporary art with original features. Busts of Julius Caesar and Venus sit alongside modern furnishings and bright splashes of colour.
The hotel offers 5* comfort with a spa, pool and gourmet restaurant. Bedrooms and suites are equipped with air conditioning, satellite television, mini-bar and safe. Baby equipment for babies, electrical adaptors, and other items can be provided on request.
The hotel grounds are a wonderful place to relax, either beside the pool or in the cloistered gardens full of fragrant Mediterranean plants such as thyme, lavender and rosemary.
The hotel spa is part of the Cinq Mondes SPA group and offers 4 treatment rooms, jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish baths with a body scrub bench, lounge room looking onto the cloistered gardens, tea room and gym.
Breakfast is served daily and consists of a generous buffet with both sweet and savoury options. You can also have breakfast delivered to your room.
Located in the centre of Arles, the hotel is perfectly placed to take advantage of all the local sights and regular cultural events.
The outdoor pool is surrounded by peaceful gardens and a sun deck with loungers and parasols. It is heated and open during fine weather from 9am to 8pm. Towels are available next to the pool.
Guests are welcome to enjoy a drink beside the pool, in one of the lounges, on the terrace or at the bar. The bar is open every day from 11am to 11.30pm and serves tapas and snacks as well as drinks.
The Lou Marqués gourmet restaurant offers refined French cuisine, with a Provencal theme. The menus are influenced by the changing of the seasons and feature fresh local produce.
